'The
Shuk is an Israeli ensemble of musicians and educators brought together
by their love of the Jewish musical tradition and their desire to share
its diverse sounds and rhythms with the world. Together, Yoni Avital
(vocals, world flutes, guitar), Efi Amouyal (vocals, cajon, percussion,
udu, shofar, didgeridoo, charango), Ami Yares (vocals, guitar, banjo,
and oud), and Gavri Tov Yares (vocals, contrabass) perform throughout
Israel, Europe and North America.
