Music is in Amanda’s blood. It has been said that she sang even before she could speak. From the age of two, Amanda practically lived in the orchestra pit while her mother (graduate of Manhattan School of Music) would play some of the greatest musicals and symphonies ever written on her cello, her late father was a songwriter who wrote for Sarah Vaughan, and her aunt, mentor, and coach, Pat Holley (JUILLIARD), is a veteran songwriter & arranger who discovered Stephanie Mills and even arranged for magnificent opera singers such as Shirley Verrett. Amanda engrossed herself in music day in and day out transformed by Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie’s healing and inspiring vocals. She first began performing at local events in her small NJ town at the age of 8, astonishing audiences with her soul and the maturity of her voice and connection to the lyric. As a teenager, Amanda even performed with the world renowned Les Paul at the jazz hotspot, Iridium.
The multi-ethnic, 21 years young singer is an accomplished actor (member of the Actors’ Equity Association). Throughout High School, Amanda appeared in over seven leading and supporting roles in Off B’Way musicals along with an internationally distributed (Blockbuster & Suncoast) drama in which she took the supporting role and before she even graduated, had studied extensively and one on one with Juilliard, Tony, and Emmy award winning singers, teachers, actors. She began violin from the age of three and, throughout her teenaged years, played in numerous orchestras and ensembles. Her lyrical talents stem from her outstanding poetic voice which earned her multiple awards, scholarships, and publications with Columbia Press at the ages of 16-18. Miss Holley plays the piano and has vocally trained industry professionals as well as students and performers from all genres of the entertainment industry.
As a songwriter, she has recently collaborated with many award winning, multi-platinum industry professionals including Guy Parker of Watersign Creative, a team which is evolving to be quite prolific in writing many quality songs. Her debut single, “My World revolves Around You”, was written by multi-Grammy nominee, Jimmy George (“I’ll Always Love You”, “Just To See Her”, to name a few) & Lew Pardini. The song was produced by Charles Wallert, known in industry circles as “The Singer’s Producer”, primarily due to his work with great vocalists such as George Benson, Dionne Warwick, OC Smith, Cuba Gooding & many more. Mr. Wallert states this about Amanda:
“Amanda Holley is not only one of the most gifted artists I have ever worked with, but one of the best vocalists I have ever heard!”
