APAP Showcase: Afro-Andean Funk

Tuesday, January 13 2026 at 6:30 PM

DOORS: 6:30 PM // PERFORMANCE: 7:30 PM

The two-time Latin Grammy–nominated Afro-Andean Funk brings a powerful blend of Afro-Peruvian rhythm, Andean melody, world music, funk, and rock — led by Peruvian vocalist Araceli Poma and NYC bassist-producer Matt Geraghty. Singing in Spanish, English, and Quechua, the ensemble bridges ancestral heritage with a modern, cross-cultural New York sound.

With performances at the China Shanghai International Arts Festival, Chautauqua Amphitheater, Lincoln Center, Bryant Park, Kultrún World Music Festival, and stages across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, Afro-Andean Funk has built a reputation for deep, soulful, and culturally resonant live shows.

A night of rhythm, soul, and spirit — from the Andes to New York City. Don’t miss this rare showcase performance!
