Please join Armenian Relief Society Tsiran Chapter of Manhattan and Armadi Tsayn, a Boston-based contemporary folk ensemble, for an evening celebrating the rich musical heritage of Western Armenia and the captivating melodies of the Middle East and North Africa. 

Armadi Tsayn, or “Sounds of the Roots” in Armenian, will be giving a special performance exploring traditional Armenian folk music and their contemporary takes.

Description

 

The ensemble was formed by Sam Surenian and Alek Sjostedt, who are both part of the Armenian diaspora.  This background informs their music, which seeks to celebrate and preserve Armenian culture while reaching out to younger generations.
