Beauty both in appearance and in her musical gifts, Dheepa delivers a range from velvety softness to sultry blues, jazz, and soul. Through her dazzling versatility and range, the NYC-based Indian-American singer and songwriter has corralled praise from guiding lights such as All About Jazz, Jazz Corner, and Jazz Times. For her most recent album, Good Intentions, she paired with renowned Brazilian producer and guitarist Sandro Albert and assembled a band of top New York session musicians to bring her many original compositions to life with a more contemporary and soulful feel. Most recently, Dheepa has released multiple singles as part of her cover series; the full album Light of Day will be released this September.
Joining her on September 30 is Fady Nabil, a New York City-based Egyptian bilingual stand-up comic. His routine supports the idea of minimizing judgments about Arabs with playful relief. He has been featured on Comedy Central Arabia and has shared the stage with several big names in the comedy world at various comedy clubs and theaters, including Gotham Comedy Club, The Comic Strip, Broadway, Caroline’s, NY Comedy Club, Eastville Comedy Club, National Theater of Ghana and the Music hall in Dubai.
