Description

FRIGG – “Hot Fiddles from Cool Scandinavia”

In 2000, from the Kaustinen Pelimannitalo (Folk Music House of Kaustinen), a story began that has included eleven albums, about a thousand gigs in over thirty countries, a vast number of appearances on TV and radio shows, numerous awards and accolades, as well as collaborative productions from symphony orchestra concerts to collaboration with rock singers. Over the years, the mainstay band, Frigg, has grown into one of the most well-known entities in the folk music scene, and in its homeland, the band has often been dubbed the flagship of Finnish folk music. The passion and enthusiasm that erupted at the Pelimannitalo over two decades ago still fuels Frigg, and the band continues its upward trajectory toward its 25th anniversary in 2025, promising a twelfth album and much new and delightful content!
