Erini | Global Bridges
In her debut concert as a New York resident, Greek vocalist Erini presents a musical program that will explore the emotions that unite humans globally. Starting from her native island of Crete, the audience will be transported on Erini’s own musical journey across the world. She will perform songs from the Greek, Middle Eastern, Latin American, Iberian, and Sephardic traditions in 7 different languages. Erini’s musical experimentation from her 3-year Cirque Du Soleil tour to her Berklee studies birthed her new sound that will be heard in this concert, which combines Greek traditional music with contrasting genres such as jazz and classical music. To honor Erini’s roots, a special tribute will be made to Erini’s great grandparents who were refugees from Anatolia to Crete and inspired her to pursue Greek traditional music and to share their story with the world.
