İsmet Ertaş grew up surrounded by traditional Turkish and Middle Eastern music at home. He lived in different parts of Anatolia and was influenced by local culture and music. He started playing the mandolin first, then the classical guitar. He taught classical guitar for a long time and contributed to the training of valuable musicians.

İsmet Ertaş grew up surrounded by traditional Turkish and Middle Eastern music at home. He lived in different parts of Anatolia and was influenced by local culture and music. He started playing the mandolin first, then the classical guitar. He taught classical guitar for a long time and contributed to the training of valuable musicians.

In 2020, he decided to edit and publish his musical works. His first published work “A History of Migration (GOC)” gained a lot of likes. He met Erkan Ogur and became interested in playing 6 strings Kopuz instrument, beginning to play and use it in his compositions.  Today Ismet writes instrumental compositions, vocal songs and continues his musical studies in New York and Turkey with great love.
