Description

Kaan Sekban, born on January 18, 1983, in Istanbul, Turkey, is a multifaceted comedian, actor, and author. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Yıldız Technical University and a Master’s in Strategic Marketing and Brand Management from Bahçeşehir University.

After a decade-long career in banking, Sekban transitioned to the performing arts, participating in acting and musical workshops both domestically and internationally. He appeared in productions such as the musical “Istanbulname” in Turkey and the opera “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in Italy.

Sekban gained widespread recognition through his homemade live talk show, “Kaan Sekban Drools,” broadcast from his home, where he humorously critiques corporate life. His satirical sketches, especially “White Collar bi Polar,” resonate with many in the business world.

In 2017, he published his autobiographical book, “Congrats You’re Fired,” which became a bestseller and was honored as the best business book of the year by Platin magazine. His second book, “After the Laughter,” released in 2023, offers an unfiltered look into his five years in show business.

Sekban’s talents have been recognized with awards, including the “Best Stand-Up Comedy Artist of 2018” by public vote at the Biletix Ticket of the Year Awards. In 2022, he became the first Turkish comedian to host a gala in English at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and has since performed stand-up sets in English in both New York and Los Angeles.
