Description

Lhodos Project is an electrifying jazz fusion ensemble that  effortlessly bridges the vibrant musical landscapes of New York  and Istanbul. Known for their soulful melodies and infectious  soundscapes, this five-piece band explores the dynamic realm of  electro jazz fusion while honoring their Mediterranean roots.  

Formed by an exceptional collective of musicians—Ian Arsintescu  (alto/soprano saxophone), Pau Jorba (alto saxophone), Hana  Igarashi (piano/synths) , Berk Feyiz (electric guitar) , Deniz  Özsan (percussion), and Alican Bekoğlu (drums)—Lhodos Project  emerged from the prestigious New School of Jazz and Contemporary  Music in New York City. Their diverse backgrounds and unique  musical influences intertwine to create an intricate combination  of sounds that could best be summarized as “Bold yet restrained, a  unique force that redefines conventions with power and poise.”  

With performances that spark curiosity and ignite an innate sense  of inner movement, Lhodos Project invites listeners on a journey  that transcends traditionally designated genre boundaries. Their high-caliber musicianship melds contemporary Western influences  with the rich textures of their Mediterranean heritage. Drawing  inspiration from a myriad of styles—from jazz and rock to  electronic and world music—the band has developed a signature  sound that is both innovative and accessible. Their live shows are  a celebration of spontaneity and collaboration.Each member brings  their own unique flair, resulting in a harmonious blend that is as  engaging as it is eclectic, connecting with audiences around the  globe and making their mark to the scene to which they include  themselves, and change.  

Set to release their debut EP in March 2024, Lhodos Project is  poised to make waves in the global music scene. With this project,  they aim to share their distinctive voice with a broader audience, inviting listeners to experience the interconnectivity of their  cultures and the universal language of music. As they continue to  push boundaries and explore new creative avenues, Lhodos Project  is on a trajectory to leave an indelible mark wherever they perform.
