Marius is a winner of the Pathways to Jazz Awards. After moving from Amsterdam to New York City, Marius has performed and recorded with well-known artists such as Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts, Joel Frahm, Stacy Dillard, Ingrid Jensen, Sean Jones, Ara Dinkjian, the Birdland Bigband, and the Tonkunstler Orchestra.
As a leader and sideman men Marius has performed at world-class stages such as Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, the North Sea Jazz Festival, Birdland Jazz Club, GroudUp Festival, Smalls Jazz Club, Sony Music Hall, The Cretan World Music festival, Mezzrow, Jazz Forum, and the Bimhuis.
In March of 202,3 Marius recorded a studio album as well as a live album at Dizzy’s Club, Jazz at Lincoln Center. Both albums have been recorded with a stellar band: Stacy Dillard on Saxophone, Sean Jones on trumpet, Noah Halpern on trumpet, Matt Penman on Bass, Willie Jones III on drum,s and Keita Ogawa on percussion.
His studio album ‘New York Knock’ was released on January 14th, ’24 accompanied by a sold-out album release concert at Dizzy’s Club. The album has been featured in the JazzWeek top 50 chart for 11 weeks in a row. Ruth Fisher from Jazz FM UK called New York Knock one of her favorites of the year, and the album has been highly praised by numerous jazz critics and musicians.

Marius’ album ‘Live at Dizzy’s Club’ was released in February 2025. Jim Motavelli from NYC Jazz Record highlighted that 2025 is the year to keep an eye on Marius, praising his top piano chops, first-class compositional ability, and keen band-assembly skills

DIALLO & HOUSE OF SEXTET
Diallo & House of Sextet was formed in 2006 by bassist and composer Diallo House. Current members include: Stacy Dillard-Sax, Greg Glassman-Trumpet, Marius Van Den Brink- Piano, Andrew Latona-Guitar, Ismail Lawal-drums, and Reinaldo Dejesus-percussion. House began to cultivate his musical talent long before he received his first bass guitar at age twelve. House knows the true role of the bass and has been a staple on the New York Jazz scene since 2002. House is responsible for composing the following music: Atiba Blue, Loki’s Iris, Anti-Groove, Bossamba Sambossa, Six for JH, Dark, Anacrusis, Bosalilia, The Eddy, Shongo, Mykiss, Xxx.
