Born on November 9, 1978, Birol Namoğlu began his musical journey in 1994 while studying at İstek Kemal Atatürk High School, performing as the vocalist in a band he formed with classmates Emir Işılay and Murat Emre. In 1998, with his next band Yankı, he won the “Best Male Vocalist” award at Boğaziçi University’s 1st Amateur Music Competition, where the group also received honors for “Best Performance,” “Best Band,” and a “Jury Special Award.” The following year, he co-founded Gripin with Evren Gülçiğ, quickly becoming one of the most recognizable voices in Turkish rock.
Derya Beşerler Namoğlu is an accomplished actress, screenwriter, and storyteller. Born in İzmir on April 23, 1985, she graduated from Yeditepe University’s Film and Television Department and trained in acting at Müjdat Gezen Art Theatre. She has appeared in several successful TV series and films, including Canım Ailem, Ufak Tefek Cinayetler, Kuzgun, and Ego.
Married since 2015, Derya and Birol Namoğlu now share the stage, combining song and story to create an evening that is heartfelt, timeless, and unforgettable.
