Description

Nilipek. is a singer-songwriter from Turkey known for her poetic lyrics, intricate arrangements, and a distinctive vocal style that has shaped the sound of Turkish alternative music over the past decade. Her debut album Sabah (2015) was hailed as one of the year’s best, and her following releases—Döngü (2017) and Mektuplar (2020)—marked a shift toward more textured, experimental storytelling.

A fearless interpreter of Turkish music, Nilipek. has reimagined classics like Gözleri Aşka Gülen and even ventured into kitsch pop with her bold 2021 cover of Bir Gün Beni Arzularsan Gel. In recent years, she has collaborated with international and local artists alike, including French indie-pop singer Oscar Anton (Castles) and Turkish producer Taner Yücel (Vazgeçtim).

Her long-awaited fourth album, Uydurduğumuz Oyunlarla (2024), invites listeners into a forty-five-minute uninterrupted journey—fusing political symbolism, sonic innovation, and emotional depth. With each release, Nilipek. continues to evolve, offering music that is at once intimate, thought-provoking, and undeniably her own.
