The pioneering Afro-Peruvian sound system and Latin GRAMMY nominees NOVALIMA are proud to release La Danza (Deluxe Version) on January 24, 2025 through Six Degrees Records. This new edition brings together the critically acclaimed EPs La Danza Part 1 and Part 2, along with three brand-new tracks and a special bonus: a unique cover of Bob Marley’s iconic “Exodus.” The two original EPs captured the imagination of fans and critics alike, topping the CNJ charts in both Latin and World categories and earning glowing praise from outlets like Remezcla and Sounds and Colours.
Now, the Deluxe Version expands on this success, offering a complete listening experience that showcases Novalima’s boundary-pushing Afro-Peruvian sound. New tracks such as the meditative “Kamino al Ketoke,” the entrancing “Viajo con La Luna,” and the soulful “Alma,” featuring the legendary Rosita Guzmán on vocals, deliver fresh, exhilarating energy to the album. Through La Danza (Deluxe Version), Novalima continues to innovate by collaborating with a new generation of artists and fusing contemporary global sounds with their Afro-Peruvian roots. The album serves as a bridge between traditional African rhythms and modern musical landscapes, from dub and reggae to electronic beats. Tracks like “Soy Palenque” (featuring Peruvian MC Karolinativa and Mexican dub jazz duo Man After Man) and “Mil Noches” (featuring Pahua) highlight Novalima’s ability to create music that is both deeply rooted in culture and universally appealing.
