Description

Sal Mamudoski

New York–born clarinetist Sal Mamudoski, of Macedonian-Roma heritage, began his musical journey in a Bronx apartment with his father’s clarinet. By his teens, he was already performing at weddings in the U.S. and abroad, earning acclaim for his mastery of Balkan and Bulgarian folk music. At 19, saxophone legend Yuri Yunakov invited him to step in for his hero Ivo Papasov on a U.S. tour, launching a decade-long mentorship and countless performances together.

Over the years, Sal has expanded his repertoire to Turkish music, taught at the East Coast Balkan Music Camp, and gained recognition for his transition to the rare G Albert clarinet. He has since performed worldwide and on prestigious stages such as Lincoln Center, Apollo Theater, and Central Park SummerStage. His debut solo album, Klarnet-Ché, blends jazz, funk, flamenco, Latin, Balkan, Middle Eastern, and Turkish influences into a sound that is uniquely his own.

Serkan Çağrı

Internationally renowned clarinetist Serkan Çağrı is celebrated for his effortless style and musical versatility. Equally at home in Balkan, Turkish, Greek, classical, jazz, and blues traditions, he seamlessly blends genres with a sound that is both rooted and innovative. A child prodigy, Serkan won “Best Clarinet Performer” at thirteen and went on to collaborate with groups such as Grup Laçin, Mercan Dede & Secret Tribe, and Kardes Türküler.

A frequent presence on Turkish television, he leads his Rumeli band and has performed worldwide, earning praise from audiences and icons alike—clarinet legend Giora Feidman once remarked, “Serkan Çağrı had started from the point where I am today.” Beyond performance, Serkan has authored a clarinet teaching manual and even inspired a clarinet model named after him. His concerts captivate with energy, depth, and soul, leaving listeners breathless.
