Patchai Reyes is a celebrated singer and musician from Arles, France, born into a family of esteemed figures in the Flamenco world, namely his father José Reyes. Growing up surrounded by the rhythms and melodies of flamenco, Patchai’s voice and artistry have been synonymous with the soulful, vibrant sound that Gipsy Kings encompasses.
In the late 1970s, Patchai joined his brothers and cousins to form the original Gipsy Kings, a group rooted in Gitano heritage and known for blending traditional flamenco with rumba and Latin influences. Today, Patchai Reyes and Gipsy Kings continue to carry this rich tradition forward. As an artistic leader of the band, Patchai brings fresh interpretations of beloved classics, fueling each performance with a deep connection to his cultural roots. Together with a generation of new musicians, he continues to share the joy and fire of flamenco-rumba with audiences around the world.
