Description

Rachel Therrien is a trumpeter, composer, and self-producer (8 solo albums) as well as a producer (3 albums). She has built a reputation as a highly skilled, versatile, and innovative artist. Nominated for the ADISQ with two albums, Mi Hogar and VENA, for the JUNO Awards with her 5th album VENA (four stars from Downbeat), and for the GRAMMYs with the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra’s Virtual Birdland, Rachel is also a renowned trumpeter and member of several ensembles such as The Ostara Project, DIVA Jazz Orchestra, Canadian National Jazz Orchestra, Liquor Store Big Band, and many others. A highly active musician and creator, she will release CAPI – Les poèmes de Charles Lebel Therrien en Musique in April 2024, an album-book featuring music inspired by the poems of her grandfather. Rachel has also shared the stage with Ron Carter, Jon Faddis, Tony Allen, Arturo O’Farrill, Roberto Fonseca, and many others.

She is now preparing the release of Mi Hogar II, following the 2023 release of the first volume with her Latin Jazz Project. Album to be released on LulaWorld Records on March 7, 2025, with a series of album release tours!
