Raquy and the Cavemen are a duo of virtuoso drummers/multi-instrumentalists, Raquy Danziger and Liron Peled, who bring hard rock energy to the mystical rhythms of the Middle East. This concert will celebrate their new album called “Hi” and will feature a special guest performance by renowned dancer Kaeshi Chai.

Raquy Danziger has spent her life striving for excellence and innovation in the art of Middle Eastern darbuka drumming. She also plays a rare instrument – the mystical 12 string King Kamancha Tarhu. Raquy has been invited to perform and teach all over the world. A prolific composer, Raquy has released 15 albums of original music and she has compiled her composition into books. She has also published several darbuka method books. Her online darbuka school, darbukaschool.com has over 2000 students enrolled.
KAESHI CHAI is a NYC & San Francisco Bay Area-based performer, director, and teacher. She co-founded the Bellyqueen company / school and PURE, blending dance with social change. A former member of Bellydance Superstars and Bella Gaia, she has performed in 47 states and 39 countries. She curates the live music and dance Djam NYC shows and leads projects like Nature Stories and Creative Labs, merging dance, art, and environmental awareness.
