The Sal Mamudoski Quintet was formed during Drom’s 2025 New York Gypsy Festival as part of the acclaimed Clarinet Mania series, bringing together four of today’s most celebrated clarinetists—Hüsnü Şenlendirici, Serkan Çağrı, Ismail Lumanovski, and Sal Mamudoski. What began as a special festival collaboration quickly developed into an exciting musical project, and since then the ensemble has continued performing together at venues and events throughout New York, captivating audiences with a dynamic blend of Balkan, Turkish, Romani, jazz, and world music traditions.

Sal Mamudoski Born and raised in Nyc. is an internationally recognized clarinetist of Macedonian-Roma heritage whose distinctive style blends Balkan, Turkish, Romani, Middle Eastern, Latin, flamenco, funk, and jazz influences. A self-taught musician who began performing professionally as a teenager, he was mentored by legendary saxophonist Yuri Yunakov and has captivated audiences throughout the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Sal has performed at renowned venues including the Apollo Theater, Lincoln Center, Central Park SummerStage,Symphony Space and more. Collaborating with acclaimed artists from around the world. As a performer, he is dedicated to reserving and advancing the rich musical traditions of his heritage while sharing his unique artistic voice through performances, recordings, and his debut album, Klarnet-Ché.
Osman Yaldız Born in İzmir, Türkiye, A bassist a versatile performer whose work spans jazz, world music, classical, and contemporary styles. He studied double bass at Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory before continuing his education at Fontys Conservatorium in the Netherlands, where he studied jazz double bass and electric bass. During his time there, he performed at renowned Dutch venues and appeared at the Lowlands Festival. Throughout his career, Osman has collaborated with numerous acclaimed musicians and performed in orchestral, jazz, and television productions across Türkiye and Europe. His diverse musical background and expressive playing have made him a sought-after bassist in a wide range of musical settings. Since relocating to New York City in 2024, Osman has continued performing as a freelance bassist, bringing his international experience to audiences throughout the city.
Poyraz Aldemir is a New York-based drummer whose dynamic style blends jazz, drum & bass, and minimlism. Since moving to the city in 2007 and studying at CUNY, he’s become a versatile presence in the music scene, collaborating with a wide range of artists and sharing his knowledge as an educator
Sercan Kaya is arranger, and professional musician based in New Jersey, USA. Born in bandırma , Türkiye, he began his musical education at Bilgi University State Conservatory, . He later continued his studies at Fontys Conservatorium in the Netherlands, specializing in jazz and electric guitar. During his time there, he performed at renowned venues across the Netherlands and appeared at the prestigious Lowlands Festival. Over the course of his career, Sercan has established himself as a versatile musician, performing across jazz, pop, world, and contemporary music. He has collaborated with many of Türkiye’s leading artists, including Fettah Can, Nükhet Duru, Oğuzhan Koç, and Haluk Levent, among many others. He also served as an assistant musician with the orchestra of O Ses Türkiye, gaining valuable experience in one of the country’s largest live television productions. Since relocating to the United States in May 2023, Sercan has been based in New Jersey, working as a freelance bassist for touring Turkish artists and a variety of live music projects throughout the New York metropolitan area. In addition to his work as a performer, he is an active arranger and producer with a focus on Turkish pop and electronic music. Combining strong technical ability with stylistic versatility, Sercan continues to build an international career as a performer, arranger, and musical collaborator, bringing years of experience from both Europe and Türkiye to stages across the United States.
Ömür Ersoy is a Turkish pianist, keyboardist, music director, arranger, and producer with over 12 years of professional experience. Throughout his career, he has performed and collaborated with some of Turkey’s leading artists, including Zara, Fatma Turgut, Nükhet Duru, Yavuz Bingöl, Emir Can İğrek, and Elif Buse Doğan, appearing in concerts, television productions, and studio recordings. In addition to his work as a performer, Ersoy is actively involved in music production, arranging, recording, mixing, and mastering, contributing to film, television, and large-scale live productions. Blending the traditions of Turkish and Balkan music with jazz and contemporary influences, he is recognized for his versatile musicianship, expressive improvisation, and distinctive cross-cultural musical voice.
