One World Sound Presents: World Cup Music Fest

Watch the game, feel the music! Join us at DROM for a full day of World Cup action, live performances, good food, and great company. The concept is simple but powerful: we bring different countries together under one roof by pairing live World Cup match screenings with music from the cultures on stage.

(Doors open at 2:30PM)

3:00 PM: Mexico v South Africa

6:00 PM: Live show by Jarana Beat

8:00 PM: K-Pop Dance Party

10:00 PM: Korea v Czechia

We kick things off at 3 PM with Mexico v. South Africa, followed by an unforgettable evening of live music at 6pm from Jarana Beat, a Mexican folk and Afro-Indigenous music group. Afterwards, we’ll take it to the floor with an exciting K-Pop Dance Party at 8 PM! Then the night ends with a return to the game: Korea v. Czechia at 10 PM. Come for the soccer stay for the music, or vice versa! We’ll see you there. Check full lineup for exact set times.

Stay tuned as we curate country-specific drinks and beer selections, creating a full cultural experience around each match. We are also developing a limited-edition merchandise program.

Description

Jarana Beat, an award-winning world music band incorporating dance and activism, debuted in Buenos Aires as part of NYU’s 2007 Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics Encuentro. With the sounds of Afro-Amerindian Mexico, it offers a new interpretation that blends the origins of Mexican music with contemporary elements and draws from other cultures in the New York scene that share the same roots.
