One World Sound Presents: World Cup Music Fest
Watch the game, feel the music! Join us at DROM for a full day of World Cup action, live performances, good food, and great company. The concept is simple but powerful: we bring different countries together under one roof by pairing live World Cup match screenings with music from the cultures on stage.
(Doors open at 2:30PM)
3:00 PM: Switzerland v. Canada
6:00 PM: Scotland v. Brazil
8:00 PM: Marcos Costa of Ile Aiye
Marcos Costa, a singer and songwriter born in 1986 in Salvador’s Liberdade neighborhood, infuses his music with the rich traditions of Afro-Brazilian culture. Raised in the cultural heartland of the Afro bloco Ilê Aiyê—where he performed and collaborated from 2010 until relocating to the United States in 2017—his sound draws deeply from Afro bloco rhythms, samba, afoxé, and Brazilian Popular Music. Rooted in the spirit of Liberdade, Marcos’s work bridges heritage and innovation, carrying the rhythms of his community across borders while opening space for new artistic expression.
9:00 PM: Czechia v. Mexico
We kick things off at 3PM with Switzerland v. Canada and Scotland v. Brazil at 6PM. Then the wonderfully talented Brazilian singer-songwriter Marcos Costas from the group Ile Aiye performs at 8PM! Lastly, a match between Czechia and Mexico will finish the night off.
Stay tuned as we curate country-specific drinks and beer selections, creating a full cultural experience around each match. We are also developing a limited-edition merchandise program.
