Yordis Larrazabal is a Cuban singer and songwriter known for his vibrant blend of timba, salsa, and contemporary Cuban sounds. Direct from Cuba to the heart of New York City, he first gained recognition performing with acclaimed groups like Sur Caribe and Azúcar Negra, and later became the lead singer of Maykel Blanco y Su Salsa Mayor — establishing himself as one of the most recognized voices from Cuba.
His 2019 debut album, Esto Me Huele a Éxito, released on MB Records, features collaborations with leading Cuban arrangers such as Manolito Simonet, Maykel Blanco, and Lazarito Valdés. The album showcases Larrazabal’s versatility as both a composer and performer, weaving together Afro-Cuban rhythms, funk, and modern Latin influences. Highlights include the duet “Esto Se Acabó” with Haila María Mompié and the high-energy timba track “Addimú Pa’ Mi Timba.”
