ZÓRA, the 25-year-old Hungarian-American singer-songwriter is quickly making her way into people’s hearts. The California-born artist splits her time between Los Angeles and Budapest, Hungary, and this time she is visiting New York City to give her first intimate solo concert at the Drom. Her Hungarian audience began to build after releasing live performances on youtube starting in 2020. With a signature deep tone and fiery lyrics, her songs revolve around avant-pop, alternative, and cinematic soundscapes, continuously bending the bounds of genre labels, perfectly encapsulated in her new release “Back On You”. Her recent accomplishments include the most prestigious Hungarian music accolade, the Hungarian Fonogram Award for Best New Artist of 2022, and was nominated for Petőfi Award Best Female Artist. With a growing following this past year Zóra proves to intrigue listeners as she sold out multiple concerts around Hungary. Such performances included her solo performances on a grand piano, while others included the addition of a band. Her candor between songs leads to an interactive experience with the audience, lending to a unique performance. Zóra is moving forward with her career both in Hungary and the US, and it is exciting to watch what she’s unfolding in front of our eyes.
