Description
“ALBA” means ‘DAWN’ in Spanish.
It’s when light breaks through the darkness and we get to start anew.
“Alba” is also ‘AL’ for Albert Alabedra, guitarist and composer from Barcelona, Spain and ‘BA’ for Bárbara Martínez, flamenco singer/dancer from New York City.
Bárbara and Albert’s songs are uplifting and vibrant. It’s flamenco, it’s Blues, it’s Jazz, it’s Funk. It swings and makes you want to listen all day and clap and move and say OLE!

About Albert & Bárbara:
Albert Alabedra is a Spanish guitarist and composer from Barcelona based in New York City. In 2012 Albert recorded his album ‘Barcelona-New York’ and has since recorded 2 more albums ‘Occhiolism and Wood Wide Web’ produced and mastered by Bob DiGiacomo. Albert and Bárbara Martínez have been playing together since 2015 and their unique ability of fusing flamenco with jazz, latin music and middle eastern music is something quite unique. They are currently recording the first album for ALBA!
Bárbara launched a flamenco fusion program in 2010 with a sold out evening at Carnegie Hall. She performs with many of the major flamenco dance companies in the U.S., both as singer and dancer. Her work is inspired by world folk traditions and the multiple artists she has had the honor of working with, as well as her grandmother Morenita Rey and the grand-aunt Libertad Lamarque.
