Aggeliki:

Aggeliki is a Greek singer/songwriter and lawyer based in NYC. Her passion for her cultural heritage coupled with her insatiable musical curiosity led her to explore different ways in which traditional elements of Greek music may be married with other genres, such as funk, soul and latin jazz. Accompanied by acclaimed Afro-Cuban jazz pianist Dayramir Gonzalez, and world class musicians Panagiotis Andreou on bass, Taka Nikaido on percussion, Lefteris Bournias on clarinet and Konstantinos Revelas on bouzouki, Aggeliki will share with the audience her original music, along with unique interpretations of beloved songs from her Greek musical heritage and beyond.
Aggeliki’s sultry voice and amiable stage presence have reached Carnegie Hall, Fenway Park and the Bergen PAC with Jon Secada. She has also collaborated with popular Greek artists and songwriters, and is currently working on her debut album which will feature her own compositions.

Rachel Therrien:

“Mi Hogar” marks Juno and Grammy Nominee musician Rachel Therrien’s 6th album and the very first with her dear Latin Jazz Project. Recorded in Montreal, Toronto and New York City, the album features some of the best latin jazz musicians you can find. Rachel has presented the Latin Jazz Project in many different formats since 2009 with compositions and arrangements tinted with many musical influences from different Latin-American and Caribbean countries. After living in Cuba, studying at the Instituto Supérior de Arte in Havana Cuba in 2008 and having a multitude of musical experiences with latin groups and communities, Therrien founded her own project to play a mixture of jazz and latin musics creating a repertoire she’s more than passionate about.
